In this paper, the authors analyze the law enforcement responses to child and adolescent prostitution in Taiwan. This is followed by a description of how the characteristics of young prostitutes changed due to protection laws. Social services offered by government and private institutions and their effect on the lives of prostitutes are also dealt with. The paper concludes with suggestions for future work.
